47k Mile 1985 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe

This 1985 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe was purchased new at Brandon Motors Inc. in New Haven, CT and remained with it’s original family until 2020. It is finished in special order silver metallic over a black interior and is powered by a 3.2-liter flat-six paired with a type 915 five-speed manual transaxle. The car was ordered new with full leather interior, limited slip differential, 16″ Fuchs alloy wheels, front & rear spoilers, power-adjustable driver seat, sport shocks, power sunroof, aftermarket stereo, alarm and silver metallic paint.  Service in February 2021 included rebuilding all brake calipers, front brake pads and hoses, tires, spark plugs, battery, air filter, hood and decklid shocks and oil and filter change.  This 911 shows only 47k miles and is offered with it’s original window sticker, original owners manual, manufacturer’s literature, service records, tool kit, a clean Carfax report and a clean California title.

Paint and Body

Silver Metallic is the original color and was a special order color according to the original window sticker. Paint correction and detailing were just completed.  There are a couple of paint touch-ups and the clear coat on the hood and fenders shows some light crazing.  Paint meter readings are viewable in the photo gallery.  Equipment options includes factory rear spoiler and front spoiler with integrated front fog lights. No accidents or other damage are indicated on the Carfax report.

Interior

The interior features a power-adjustable driver seat and special order full black leather along with matching dash, door panels and carpeting.  There is some leather shrinkage at the top corners of the dash.  Amenities include air conditioning, a cigarette lighter, and an aftermarket stereo.  The original leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 170-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,300-rpm redline, an analog clock, and a selection of auxiliary gauges. Only 47k miles are shown on the six-digit odometer.

Wheels and Brakes

Fuchs 16″ wheels with black centers and anodized lips are wrapped in Continental Extreme Contact Sport Z-rated tires with 2017 and 2020 date codes that measure 205/55 in the front and 225/50 in the rear. The front and rear brake calipers are newly rebuilt and new front brake pads, sensors and hoses have been installed.

Mechanicals

The original air-cooled 3.2L flat-six (64F01385) was factory-rated at 200 horsepower and 185 lb-ft of torque when new.  Power is sent to the rear wheels through the original type 915 five speed manual transmission.  New Bosch spark plugs, air filter, new fuses, engine oil and filter change and gearbox oil change was recently completed and the original service warranty book accompany the vehicle.

Documentation and Accessories

Original tool kit and jack are present, along with the original window sticker, original purchase invoice and factory owners and warranty manuals.  The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage.
