1955 Messerschmitt KR200
This 1955 Messerschmitt KR200 is a first year model under long-term ownership for over 40 years in Northern California. This early bubble car is a 95% complete project and still wears it’s original paint.
Cabin access is via a tilting top—the entire convertible frame including windows and windshield opens to the right allowing access to both front and rear seats. The windshield itself is said to remain in good condition
Inside, the original interior is present, but ready for restoration. Original gauges and switches are present. The tiller-like steering wheel is an interesting nod to Messerschmitt’s aircraft history, and headlights, tail/brake lights and turn signals are reported to work.
Power comes from a factory original 191cc two stroke single cylinder engine made by Sachs. The transmission is a conventionally operated 4-speed.
