3.0L 1969 Porsche 911T Coupe 5-Speed
This 1969 Porsche 911T coupe is powered by a rebuilt 3.0L flat-six mated to a five-speed 915 manual transaxle and is finished in Polo Red over black upholstery. Service history shows ownership in California and Oregon between 1986 and 2024. Equipment includes 16″ Fuchs-style wheels, turbo tie rods, aftermarket front sway bar, SSI heat exchangers, oil-fed timing chain tensioners, H4 headlights, and a MOMO steering wheel and shift knob. Recent service has included an oil change, brake fluid flush, fuel injection tuning, leak down test and new fuel hoses. This 911T is offered in California with service records and a clean Oregon title.
Paint and Body
1969 was the first year of the long wheel-base body. This example was finished from the factory in Polo Red (6802) and the prior owner stated a professional repaint was completed in the 2000’s. Having always been garage stored, the paint remains in very good condition with just a few blemishes. This is a non-sunroof “slicktop” Coupe. Features include H4 headlights, 16″ Fuchs alloy wheels, driver and passenger side mirrors, tinted glass, and a single exhaust outlet.
Interior
The interior features front seats and fold-down rear seats trimmed in black leatherette upholstery with a matching color dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include a leather-wrapped MOMO steering wheel frames a central tachometer, a 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer indicates 66k miles. All gauges are currently functional, except the clock.
Wheels and Brakes
Fuchs 16″ wheels measure 6″ in width and are mounted with 205/55 Ohtsu FP6000 A/S tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs. 2024 service included a brake fluid flush, replaced all four brake hoses, exercised calipers, adjusted handbrake, adjusted front wheel bearings. An upgraded front sway bar, Bilstein shocks and turbo tie rods are installed.
Mechanicals
The 3.0L flat-six was reportedly sourced from a 1979 911SC and was rebuilt prior to being installed in 2010. Engine leak down test readings measure an excellent 2% at each cylinder with gauge readings shown in the photo gallery below. Service to the CIS injection system included installation of newly rebuilt warm-up regulator, replaced cold start injector, accumulator, oil temp sender and oil pressure sender, cleaned throttle plate and vacuum ports, flow plate and dish and air boot. Engine timing, fuel mixture and idle speed were adjusted. New fuel hoses, valve cover seals and engine mounts were also installed. Additional equipment includes SSI heat exchangers, oil-fed timing chain tensioners, and pop off valve.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed aluminum-case 915 manual transaxle. New clutch cable and transmission mounts were recently installed and an oil service was completed.
