77k-Mile 1979 Porsche 911SC Coupe
This exceptionally well cared for 1979 Porsche 911SC coupe was delivered to it’s first owner in Idaho and accrued three additional Idaho owners, including a ski resort owner with a substantial collection. It now shows 77k original miles with registration history in Idaho since it was sold new. The car is powered by it’s original 3.0-liter flat-six paired with a five-speed manual transaxle and is finished in classic Grand Prix White over black leather upholstery. Majority of the paint is original and paint meter readings are shown in the photo gallery. Equipment includes factory optioned sport seats, 16″ Fuchs alloy wheels, a sunroof, fog lights, air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, and original Blaupunkt stereo. A major service in 2025 included engine and transmission oil change, valve adjustment and new valve cover gaskets, clutch cable and clevis, front wheel bearings, brake fluid flush, and new sunroof cable. This 911SC coupe is offered with owner’s manual, warranty book, service records from 1979 to 2025, and a clean Idaho title.
The cabin features rare optional sport seats upholstered in their original black leather along with a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include air conditioning, power windows, cruise control, and original Blaupunkt stereo. The three-spoke steering wheel frames a central tachometer with a 6,300-rpm redline as well as a 170-mph speedometer, a clock, and supplementary gauges. The six-digit odometer shows just over 77k miles. A new alternator and belt were installed in December 2023.
The 16″ Fuchs wheels with black centers are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ tires. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes. A major service, completed in 2025, included a brake fluid flush, handbrake adjustment, and front wheel bearings adjustment.
The original 3.0-liter flat-six engine features Bosch fuel injection and was factory rated at 172 horsepower and 189 lb-ft of torque. Leakdown test results are shown in the photo gallery and head studs were inspected during it’s recent major service. Additional recent servicing includes engine tune, cylinder head stud inspection, adjustment for full throttle, engine oil and filter, and valve adjustment.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through the original Type 915 five-speed manual transaxle. Gearbox oil was recently changed and a new clutch cable and clevis were installed.
Included are the original owner’s manual, warranty book, service records covering 1979 through 2025, and a clean Idaho title. Accessories include the original toolkit, jack, spare wheel, and original touch up paint bottle.
