1980 Porsche 911SC Coupe

This 1980 Porsche 911SC Coupe is finished in its original color combination of Minerva Blue Metallic over blue leather. Originally delivered to Canada and resided there until our recent acquisition.  Power comes from the original 3.0-liter flat-six, which is mated to the original 915 5-speed manual transaxle. Factory options include full leather seats, right side electric mirror, headlight washers, 16 inch Fuchs forged alloy wheels, black headliner, tinted glass, two rear speakers, electric sunroof and more.  A major service was recently completed and included (valve adjustment, oil service, new clutch, flywheel and pressure plate, new spark plugs, flushed brake system, new brake pads and hoses). Excellent new 16″ Fuchs alloy wheels and new tires.  Original toolkit, jack and spare are present.

For the 1980 model year, the 911SC featured headlamp rings and side mirrors painted in the exterior color, as well as black anodized door handles. The Minerva Blue Metallic paint is in great condition with some recent paint correction. All opening panel gaps are excellent and paint meter readings are viewable in the photo gallery. Exterior equipment includes H4 headlights, Euro taillight lenses, and a driver-side and optional passenger-side mirror.

The front blue full leather seats are a great compliment to the exterior paint color and are manually adjustable. The original 3-spoke steering wheel is installed, and an Alpine stereo is mounted in the dash.  The stock VDO gauges are functioning properly.  The original 260-kmph speedometer is installed.  The odometer now shows 198k km (or 124k miles).  This 911SC was also optioned with factory air conditioning, but the AC compressor is not installed.

Pristine 16” x 6″ and 16″ x 7″ Fuchs alloy wheels are wrapped in a new set of Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02 Z-rated 205/55 and 225/50 sized tires wearing 2022 date codes.  Documentation for brake service includes new master cylinder, brake pads, brake hoses and fluid flush.

The original 3.0-liter flat-six is paired with the original 915 5-speed manual transaxle, and factory output for 1980 was 180 horsepower when new. The original engine serial number (*6401187*) and type number (930/07) indicates the car as a US spec.  Major service recently completed included new clutch and pressure plate, new motor mounts, new engine insulation pad, valve adjustment, oil service, new spark plugs, flushed brake system, and more).  Updates include SSI heat exchangers, hydraulic chain tensioners, turbo valve covers and pop off valve. The original 5-speed manual type 915/63 gearbox is installed and shifts great.

Included are an owners manual, service records for recent major service, and a clean California title.  Accessories include original toolkit, jack and spare wheel.
