1985 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe

This 1985 Porsche 911 Carrera “slicktop” coupe ordered in Black over Black full leather upholstery. It has been registered in California from 1985 to 2020.  Power comes from it’s original 3.2L flat-six mated to it’s original 5-speed manual type 915 transmission and factory-optional limited-slip differential.  Recent service included engine leakdown and compression test, oil and filter change, new oil reservoir hose and successful CA emissions test.  Factory options include factory spoilers, limited slip differential, staggered-width 16” Fuchs wheels, factory leather sport seats, full leather interior and more.  This 3.2 Carrera is now being offered with service records back to 1985, original manuals, original toolkit, a clean Carfax, and a clean California title.

Paint and Body

The car is finished in original Black (L700) and features factory spoilers, fog lights and deleted sunroof.  The included Carfax report lists no history of accidents or other damage.  Paint depth meter readings indicate the car is wearing a majority of it’s original paint.

Interior

The factory optioned sport seats are trimmed in black leather and feature power height and tilt adjustments. Additional factory options included full leather interior and power seats.  A Pioneer head unit is installed.  Just over 241k documented miles are shown on the original 6-digit odometer.  A new A/C blower motor and relay were installed at 161k miles. A new alternator was installed at 182k miles.

Wheels and Brakes

Factory 16″ Fuchs polished alloy wheels are wrapped in correct 205/55 and 225/50 sized V-rated tires with 2017 and 2018 date codes.  The rear brake pads were replaced at 228k miles.  Front brake pads were replaced at 200k miles.  Front and rear shocks were replaced at 146k miles.  Turbo tie rods were installed at 141k miles.

Mechanicals

The original 3.2L flat-six sends power to the rear wheels through the original type 915 five speed manual transmission. An oil and filter change was recently completed and maintenance records beginning in 1985 accompany the vehicle.  Top end engine rebuild was completed at 50k miles by RMG Enterprises in Sunnyvale, CA.  Engine compression (165-170PSI) and leakdown (4%) was recently measured at 241k miles.  A California emissions test was performed at 239,386 miles with successful results.  New clutch, pressure plate and flywheel were installed at 200k miles.

Documentation and Accessories

Included are the original owner’s manual and service book, binder full of service records, a clean CarFax and a clean California title.  Accessories include original jack and spare wheel.  Original steering wheel is also included.
