51K-Mile 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa G50

This 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa is powered by it’s original 3.2-liter flat-six paired with a G50 five-speed manual transaxle and is finished in Silver Metallic over blue leather. Sold new at Brumos Atlanta Inc in Smyrna, GA on 7/30/87. Owned by third GA owner for 27 years (1995 to 2022). Equipment includes a restored black removable Targa roof panel. air conditioning, original Blaupunkt stereo, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, power mirrors, cruise control, and power windows.  This Carrera Targa is offered with the owner’s manual, warranty book, an accident-free Carfax report, service records and clean title. 

Maintenance since 2004 included service of the air conditioning and fuel systems, replacement of the engine sound pad, valve adjustment, valve cover gaskets, tires, and ignition components.  The documentation includes original owners manual and stamped warranty book, service records dating to 2004, the pristine original tool roll, a clean Carfax report with detailed mileage history, and a clean Georgia title. 

The front seats and door panels inserts are trimmed in optional Marine Blue leather (TP) with matching dashboard surfaces and carpets.  Amenities include power windows, cruise control, air conditioning, and original Blaupunkt stereo. The air-conditioning system was converted to R34 and recharged in 2019.  The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 6,300-rpm redline as well as a 170-mph speedometer, a Quartz clock, and gauges for oil level, oil pressure, oil temperature, and fuel level.  New battery was installed in 2021.  The six-digit odometer shows 51k miles with documentation back to 1987.  

The original forged 16″ Fuchs wheels have silver painted pockets and anodized lips with no curb rash. They are mounted with Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S tires measuring 205/55 up front and 225/50 out back with 2019 date codes. A wheel alignment was performed in 2019.

The 3.2-liter M930/25 flat-six features Bosch Motronic engine management and was factory rated at 217 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque.  Recent service included replacement of the engine sound pad, new drive belts, a/c recharge, shifter bushings, and sway bar mount, were replaced , and an oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.  Power is sent to the rear wheels through the original G50 five-speed manual transaxle. Included are the original owner’s manual and warranty service book, detailed service records from 2004 to 2022, a clean CarFax and a clean title.  Accessories include the original toolkit, jack and spare wheel. A decode of the option sticker provides the following information:
