1988 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet

This 1988 Porsche 911 Turbo cabriolet resided with it’s second California owner from 1996 until our acquisition in 2023 and now shows 89k miles. It is powered by it’s original turbocharged 3.3-liter flat-six paired with the original four-speed manual transaxle and is finished in Venetian Blue Metallic over linen leather upholstery. The car is equipped with 16″ Fuchs alloy wheels, four-wheel cross-drilled and ventilated disc brakes, a “tea tray” rear spoiler, a blue soft top, fog lights, headlight washers, power-adjustable front seats, power windows and locks, a Blaupunkt cassette stereo, and air conditioning. Recent service in preparation for the sale consisted of oil and filter, oil lines, new Bilstein shocks, fuel filter, belts, brake pads and hoses, replacing the front and rear hood supports, steering column bushing, shift bushings, and battery. This 930 Turbo cabriolet is now offered with recent service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title.

The power-adjustable front seats are upholstered in linen leather and are complemented by a color-coordinated center console and door panels. Porsche-branded floor mats line the footwells, and amenities include air conditioning, an alarm system, power windows and locks, and a Blaupunkt cassette stereo. A new steering column bushing was recently installed. The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 6,700-rpm redline as well as a 170-mph speedometer and gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, oil level, fuel level, and boost pressure. The six-digit odometer shows just under 89k miles.

Staggered-width 16″ Fuchs alloy wheels are mounted with new Bridgestone Potenza Sport  tires measuring 205/55 up front and 245/45 at the rear. A spare is located in the front trunk. Braking is handled by four-wheel cross-drilled and ventilated discs.  New brake pads and hoses were installed and brake fluid was flushed in July 2023.  New Bilstein struts and shocks were installed in November 2023.

The turbocharged 3.3-liter flat-six was factory rated at 282 horsepower and 278 lb-ft of torque. An oil service was completed in July 2023.  New insulation pad, oil lines, belts and battery were also installed in July 2023. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transaxle.  Gear oil was replaced and new rear tires were installed in September 2023.
