1989 Porsche 964 Coupe 5-Speed

This 1989 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 coupe is finished in Guards Red over Black leather and is powered by a 3.6-liter flat-six that drives all four wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes 16″ five-spoke wheels, a sunroof, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, cruise control, and air conditioning. Work completed in July 2023 included a valve adjustment, belts, alternator pulleys, fan shroud boot, power steering hose, flush brakes, accumulator and valve block, rear brake pads, hood/decklid shocks.  Offered for sale with service records, tool kit, jack, emergency kit, a clean Carfax report, and a clean title.

The car is finished in Guards Red and features a speed-activated rear spoiler, an electric sunroof, and heated and power-adjustable side mirrors. Paint meter readings are shown in the photo gallery. Service completed in July 2023 is said to have included replacing the left rocker seals and mounting parts and replacing the rear decklid grille wall.

The front bucket seats are upholstered in black leather and are complemented by a black dashboard and upper door panels. Amenities include power-adjustable driver’s and passenger’s seat, a Blaupunkt Bremen stereo, power windows, cruise control, and air conditioning. The leather-wrapped four spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline as well as a 180-mph speedometer, a Quartz analog clock, and gauges for oil level, oil pressure, oil temperature, and fuel level.  The six-digit odometer shows just under 90k miles.

Silver-finished 16″ Design 90 wheels are wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza tires measuring 205/55 up front and 225/45 out back. Braking is handled by four-wheel ventilated discs with ABS. Service including the replacement of the power steering pump suction hose, rear brake pads, and flushing the brake and power steering fluids was completed in July 2023.

The air-cooled 3.6L M64 flat-six was factory rated at 247 horsepower and 228 lb-ft of torque. An engine reseal was completed in January 2011, which included removing the engine, reconditioning the cylinder heads and camshafts, reconditioning the connecting rods and camshaft rocker arms, machining the valve seats and cylinder heads.

Power is sent to all four wheels via a five-speed manual transaxle. The flywheel and clutch were replaced in 1998 at 67,408 miles.

Included are a clean title and an accident and damage free Carfax report. Two owner ownership in North Dakota and Minnesota is documented.
