1991 Porsche 964 C2 Targa

This 1991 Porsche 911 Targa was originally sold on 12/9/90 at Rusnak/Westlake in Thousand Oaks, CA to it’s first owner in California and was moved to Texas in 1997 where it resided with it’s second owner for 23 years prior to our recent acquisition. Power comes from it’s original 3.6-liter flat-six paired with it’s original five-speed manual transaxle, and the car is finished in Gran Prix White over black partial leather. Options include 8-way electrical driver seat, cruise control, amplifier and CD-radio Alpine Porsche CD-2. The engine received a new clutch and flywheel, new oil thermostat and new oil hoses at 56k miles, new valve cover seals and timing chain cover seals installed at 100k miles and new brake rotors and pads at 107k miles. This 964 now shows 108k miles and is offered with detailed service records since sold new, a partially-stamped service booklet, an accident free Carfax report, and a clean Texas title.​

The car is finished in Gran Prix White (L908). There are no dents on any of the metal body panels. All paint is original, except the windshield wiper panel which received minor rust repair and a repaint in 2012. A thorough exterior and interior detail was just completed.

The partial Black leather (LT) interior features an 8-way electronically adjustable driver’s seat and 4-way passenger seat. Additional equipment includes a factory Alpine CD-2 stereo, amplifier, and cruise control. Instrumentation includes an odometer showing just over 108k miles. All electrical systems are functional.

Excellent condition painted factory Design 90 wheels are equipped with colored crest center caps. 205/55VR16 and 225/50VR16 sized Goodyear Eagle Sport tires are installed. New brake rotors, pads and wear sensors were installed just 1000 miles ago.

The 3.6-liter flat-six was factory-rated at 247 horsepower at 6,100 rpm with 228 lb-ft of torque at 4,800 rpm when new, which is delivered to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle. The engine runs strong with no smoke on startup and no oil leaks. Excellent shifting original 5-speed transmission.

The following services are documented: @107k miles – replacement of the valve cover gaskets, timing chain gaskets, oil and filter, a/c recharge, replace a/c drive belt, replace high and low tone horns. @102k miles – replace a/c compressor and recharge a/c system, install new window switches. @100k miles – replace shifter rod and bushings. @97k miles – replaced distributor caps and rotors.  @56k miles – new clutch, pressure plate and bearing.

Included are the original owner’s manual, warranty & maintenance book, detailed service records, a clean Texas title and an accident free Carfax report. Ownership in California and Texas is documented. Accessories include original toolkit, jack, air compressor and spare wheel.
