19k-Mile 1998 Porsche Boxster

This newly appreciating first generation 1998 Porsche Boxster transferred ownership between three brothers within the same family over the last 17 years.  We purchased  from the third brother.  This example is equipped with a 2.5-liter flat-six mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.  Factory options include a hardtop, 17” SportClassic alloy wheels, leather interior, cruise control, aluminum/leather shift knob and brake handle, and on-board computer. Now showing a very low 19,156 miles, this early 986 includes service records, the factory manuals, a clean Carfax report, and a clear Oregon title.

*Exterior

Arctic Silver Metallic (L92U) paint is shown from a number of angles in the gallery along with close-up images of the lenses and trim. No accidents are listed on the included Carfax report.

*Interior

Boxster Red (MA) optional leather seats are complemented by a matching dash, carpets, and door panels. A factory Becker CR-210 cassette stereo and Becker Porsche CDC-3 6-disc CD changer are retained and the original 4-spoke steering wheel is installed.

*Mechanicals

The original 2.5L flat-six, factory rated at 201 HP, sends power to the rear wheels through the original 5-speed manual transmission.  It’s worth noting that the 1997 through 1999 engines had a tough dual-row IMS bearing.  The following service was completed in within the last 1100 miles and included the following:

*Documentation

A clear title, original maintenance book, original owner’s manual, dealer directory and extra file of service records.  The documented service history spans from 1998 through 2019. The Carfax report lists no issues and shows four owners in Pennsylvania followed by it’s most recent owner in Oregon.
