This newly appreciating first generation 1999 Porsche Boxster resided with it’s original owner until 2019. This example is equipped with a 2.5-liter flat-six mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.  Factory options include 17” 996 wheels, sports chassis and traction control.  Now showing just under 10k original miles, this early 986 includes it’s factory owners manual, original window sticker, original purchase invoice, a clean Carfax report, and a clear California title.

*Exterior

Rare Pastel Yellow (L12M) original paint is shown from a number of angles in the gallery along with close-up images of the clear lenses and trim. No accidents are listed on the included Carfax report.

*Interior

Granite Grey (Q1) partial leather seats are complemented by a matching dash, carpets, and door panels. A factory Becker stereo is retained and the original 4-spoke steering wheel is installed.

*Mechanicals

The original 2.5L flat-six, factory rated at 201 HP, sends power to the rear wheels through the original 5-speed manual transmission.  It’s worth noting that the 1997 through 1999 engines had a tough dual-row IMS bearing.  Oil and filter change was recently completed.  The filter was disassembled and closely inspected.  No metallic particles were found on any portion of the filter.  An oil sample was recently analyzed by Blackstone with excellent results.  The following documented dealer service was completed at 6,222 miles:

A clear California title, original owner’s manual, original window sticker and purchase invoice, dealer directory and extra file of service records are included.  The Carfax report lists no issues and shows two owners in California.
