42k Mile 2003 Porsche Boxster S Orient Rot Metallic

This 2003 Porsche Boxster is finished in Orient Rot Metallic (L8A3) with a black soft top over Savannah leather and powered by a 3.2-liter flat-six mated to a six-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes automatic climate control, body color roll hoops, xenon headlights, 18″ SportDesign wheels, heated seats and Bose sound system. The car was first registered in California and was registered in Arizona in 2016.  It now has 42k miles, and documented service since 2016 included installation of an LN Engineering IMS retrofit kit, water pump, fuel pump, battery, ignition lock cylinder and more. Paint and Body

The body is finished in rare Orient Rot Metallic (L8A3) with a black soft top and features xenon headlights, body color roll hoops, side air intakes, side air intakes, and twin central exhaust outlets.  The paint is in excellent condition with just a couple of dings.

Interior

The cabin features power-adjustable seats upholstered in Savannah leather, along with matching door panels and carpets protected by tan floor mats.  The rear window in the black soft top is glass.  Amenities include dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, and a factory optioned Bose sound system.  Interior options include heated seats and center console and roll-over bar painted in car color. The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames instrumentation including a central tachometer, a 180-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates just under 42k miles.  A new ignition lock cylinder was installed in October of 2020.

Wheels and Brakes

Optional 18″ SportDesign and are wrapped in staggered-width Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2 tires. Braking is handled by attractive red four-piston Porsche-branded brake calipers over vented rotors at all four corners, and a brake-fluid flush was recently performed..

Mechanicals

The mid-mounted 3.2-liter flat-six sits behind the passenger compartment and was factory rated at 258 horsepower and 229 lb-ft of torque. Service performed within the last 8k miles included installation of an LN Engineering IMS dual row bearing, crankshaft seal, cam plug, new water pump, thermostat, drive belt and new battery.  An oil and filter change was performed in March 2021.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through an excellent shifting six-speed manual transaxle.
